FRITZ Router!Box 7490 is a device that allows you to use the Internet via any connection: ADSL/ADSL2+ (up to 24 Mbit/s), high-speed VDSL connections (up to 100 Mbit/s) and using an external modem connected to the WAN port or a 3G/LTE mobile modem via the USB port.

Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technology, FRITZ!Box 7490 provides fastest connections to all devices on the network.

Operating in AC (up to 1300 Mbit/s) and N (up to 450 Mbit) wireless standards, it operates in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Auto-channel functions automatically select the least busy and disturbed wireless channel, ensuring optimal call quality.

Four gigabit LAN ports allow for high-speed cable connections. In order to reduce energy consumption, it is possible to start Eco mode. The first LAN port can serve as a WAN port for connecting an external modem.

Safety first

FRITZ routers!Boxes are created with special emphasis on safety. The software of the devices is regularly updated, and for your convenience it is even possible to activate the function of automatic installation of updates.

The safety of network users is supervised by a certified Firewall, advanced parental control functions with minutes budget and web filtering. Up to 12 encrypted tunnels using IPSec VPN technology can be used to establish a secure connection to the router's network. A guest network allows you to provide an Internet connection without giving visitors access to devices on the main network and the resources therein.

Telephone exchange

FRITZ routers!Box 7490 are equipped with a telephone exchange that allows you to configure analog, ISDN and VoIP Internet telephony and fax connections. The device is equipped with answering machines that can be listened to over the Internet. Phone books can be synchronized with Google account. Superior sound quality is available with support for high quality telephony - HD Voice.

Smart home

Thanks to the equipment of the FRITZ router!Box 7490 into a DECT base, it is possible, with the use of FRITZ smart sockets!DECT, use of smart home functions. Thanks to the router's built-in Smart Home features, it is possible to remotely and automatically turn on and off the power to the FRITZ connected!DECT of devices, measurement of power consumption and temperature.

Media center

Equipped with two high-speed USB 3.0 ports, the FRITZ!Box 7490 allows you to connect external drives of up to 4 TB. It gives you the ability to create a home NAS file server and share music, photos and videos for all devices on your home network. In combination with the free MyFRITZ service.net allows you to generate direct links to files stored on a memory stick connected to the router.
